Research

The aim of my research program is to understand the relationship between limb anatomy, connective tissue biology, growth, and locomotor mechanics of living and extinct sauropsids. Using these lines of evidence, we will better understand the behavior and ecology of vertebrates throughout their evolutionary transitions.

My work integrates studies across multiple levels of structural and functional analyses, ranging from bone and soft tissue microstructures, to gross anatomical characters in the musculoskeletal system (shape, size, and scaling), and finally to macroevolutionary transitions within and among major vertebrate groups.
